2 hours – Hoi An Old Town
We start, of course, with good coffee and we get to know you and your expectations. Depending on your current level, we go through all the camera settings and the main relationships between all your camera modes. Or we jump straight into the composition part, focusing on people photography.
We head into town and through the market to practice new techniques and discuss many more.
This 2-hour session in the old town of Hoi An is the fastest way to learn photography in Hoi An!
Please note that if you wish to have a private workshop in the countryside to go and capture people in action we need a minimum of 3 to 4 hours (at $60 per hour). Contact us.
- Coffee or soft drink
- Intensive photography workshop
- Your photography equipment
This doesn’t matter! We run workshops for complete beginners as well as advanced and even pro photographers, willing to get a glimpse into the world of people photography and the art of approaching our subjects.
Indeed, experience taught us that we do not need more to help you through the basic things in the old town. And you’ll have to put up with A LOT of information!
But if you’d like to visit the countryside and practice all this new knowledge, we recommend a 3 to 4 hours workshop in the countryside, at $60 per hour.
Thanks a lot for your review :)
I checked out Hoi An Photo tour and workshop website and was blown away by the photos. I absolutely LOVED my private photography workshop/tour with Etienne Bossot. I am a professional photographer so didn't need to learn basic settings and camera info, but I know there is always room for improvement, so going out for a 3 hour tour with Etienne opened my eyes to some new shooting tricks and tips. Also, choosing to head to a more remote village to experience and photograph an authentic Vietnamese experience, vs touristy areas was a highlight. Etienne was warm, and patient, knowledgable and engaging. He knew the language, the people, the skills, the location of some great spots and while we didn't get that magical sunset, we were able to walk through a village, converse with the locals and capture some genuine moments. I also brought my 11 year old daughter with me and he was able to teach her some fun photography skills as well. I will most certainly be excited to take another tour with Etienne and highly highly recommend his workshops!
